Signet ring created in memory of the Northern Crusaders, topped with the Jerusalem Cross and flanked by Celtic-Viking links.
The Scandinavians were valuable allies of Godfrey, and it was only natural for me to dedicate a design to them.
Harald of Norway, you have truly earned this fragment of the cross that was given to you as a token of gratitude by the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre
The banner of the castle of Bouillon, from which the illustrious Godfrey of Bouillon set out in 1096 to change the course of history. This signet ring is worn in tribute to his courage, with respect for his exceptional determination guided by sincere convictions, which led him to refuse the throne of Jerusalem, refusing to wear a crown of gold where Christ had worn a crown of thorns.
A confessor of the Holy Sepulchre, Godfrey of Bouillon deserves the respect of every free man in the Christian Lands.
It consists of a large Greek cross quartered by 4 small crosses, also Greek, symbolizing the four Gospels or the four directions in which the word of Christ spread from Jerusalem.
It was the Passion of Christ that led the Franciscan Custody to adopt this Cross. Indeed, for many, the number of crosses (four small and one large) symbolizes the five wounds of Christ on the Cross.
According to tradition, the coat of arms of Jerusalem (argent, a cross potent or, quartered by four crosslets of the same) deliberately contravenes the rules of heraldry, to better mark the very special prestige of this city. Indeed, the science of heraldry forbids the superimposition of two metals. In this case, the gold crosses are superimposed on the silver background.
Delivered in the brand's luxury gift box with a pewter badge.
