Saint Christopher Medal – 925 Silver – Protector of Travelers

Saint Christopher Medal – 925 Silver – Protector of Travelers

A symbol of protection, courage, and Faith.

This magnificent 925 silver medal depicts Saint Christopher carrying the Child Jesus on his shoulder, one of the most iconic images in the Christian tradition.

At the center of a finely openwork circular medallion, the saint advances through the waters, leaning on his traveler's staff. The Child Jesus rests on his shoulder, while the folds of the garment and the details of the relief give the scene a remarkable sense of movement.

The inscription “Saint Christopher Protect Us” (Saint Christopher, protect us) surrounds the depiction, accompanied by small crosses that recall the spiritual vocation of this piece of jewelry.

A distinctive medal, both elegant and deeply symbolic.

Saint Christopher, he who carried Christ

According to a famous Christian legend, Christopher was a man of extraordinary strength who devoted his life to helping travelers cross a dangerous river.

One day, a child asked him to carry him to the other side. During the crossing, the child became so heavy that Christopher thought he would succumb under his weight.

Upon reaching his destination, he discovered that he had just carried Christ himself, who revealed to him that he had carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.

It is from this tradition that his name comes: Christophoros, in Greek, means “he who carries Christ”.

For centuries, Saint Christopher has been invoked as the protector of travelers, pilgrims, and all those who set out on a journey.

But beyond this protection, his story reminds us of a beautiful lesson of Faith: to humbly serve one's neighbor is sometimes to encounter Christ without even recognizing him.
