With her hands joined in prayer, Mary appears at the center of a delicately sculpted cloak, whose contours are adorned with numerous marcasites with silvery reflections.

A crown topped with a small cross completes this creation, giving it the precious appearance of an antique devotional jewel.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, a Story of Faith

According to Catholic tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared in December 1531 to Juan Diego, a humble indigenous Christian, on Tepeyac Hill near Mexico City.

The account states that her image miraculously appeared on Juan Diego's cloak, becoming one of the most revered symbols of Christianity in the Americas.

Today, Our Lady of Guadalupe embodies maternal tenderness, compassion, and hope. Her image invites prayer and recalls Mary's special place in Christian spirituality.
